.540 caliber, and 535 grains of lead? I'd say he can hunt anything he wants.......

I know where both of them are
thats an awful short Bullet I would say cause I use 535 in my squirrel rifle for long range. Ed’s 465 for hunting . You needs st least a 700 gr chunk of lead iffin you is shooting a 54. Shucks even the .504 is good with Docs 600 gr conical
Turn that 540 into a real cannon if you have to have such a big bore :) don’t mess around with a puddly 535 grain chunk of lead

That’s enough to make you sick .... and if you are sick you should get off work and go home.

So, even tho i was extremely sick, i made it thru the day and found my new White Lightning on the back porch when I finally got home. The pics made it look kinda rough but what i thought was rust on some screws (pic4) turned out to just be nail polish and loctite. There is a small bit of rust stain around the scope base but inside looks great. BP looks barely used the same for the breech. The bore also looks shiny clean. Hard to get good pics of it. Has a Bold trigger, that feels so nice. I put some Kroil on the stains and in 5 minutes they were 90% gone. Some nicks and dents in the stock that i will touch up later. Worst part is the rear sight's missing. This thing is SOO light! 20190719_195524.jpg 20190719_195607.jpg 20190719_192816.jpg 20190719_191436.jpg
