    Armstech Whitetail .504
Was told by another member that Doc told him he quit using the barrels on these Armstechs because they had accuracy issues with them.. I had never fired this gun since Ive had it so now I had to shoot it.
Took 3 shots to figure out it was shooting way right, adjusted scope and fired 3 shots in a row, all bullets pretty much went thru same hole but left of dot, adjust scope and fired 2 more which are at top of dot, this was at 51 yds.. moved back to 101 yds and fired 3 more shots, no swabbing between any shots.. l-r wind at about 10 mph.
load was 65 gr of Swiss 2f and 460 gr bullshop lit with #11 cap.
Scope was a old Burris 1.5x5x20 that needs to be sent back and serviced it looks like dust in behind front lens, it holds zero good just fuzzy.
I will take a gun being this inaccurate any day, no load development just picked what everyone else likes Swiss powder and Bullshop, going to be bad news for a deer this year.. was going to sell gun as I had never shot it but now its no longer for sale:) 20191019_132314.jpg 20191019_132324.jpg

Is that one of the Micro-Groove barrels? 12 lands and grooves, IIRC?

Looks like that'll work! Who would complain about that, with no experimentation either....

Well, I am glad you finally shot that no good rifle I sold you.
In my most humble opinion the only problem with those early Armstech Whitetails is that they didn't have any recoil lug besides that blade between the barrel and receiver. Well, I got that lug welded on there by a guy who use to run Doc's shop and I bedded it myself after he got done. That will keep it from wanting to walk out of that stock. I never figured out why Doc never used a thicker recoil blade, something about a quarter inch thick or so.
It's such an easy rifle to handle, so lightweight and it comes up real nice. If I had known you wanted to sell it I probably would have bought it back from you.
    Enjoy!

Art only reason for wanting to sell was because I had never shot it since owning it, have 4-5 other Whites plus a bunch of Knights so didnt know if I would ever get around to it.. when someone told me that Doc told them they quit using those barrels due to being inaccurate I had to find out and shoot it.. its the best handling White Ive got except for my .451 with custom stock, glad I did shoot it now cause its also one of the most accurate.
It wont be going anywhere now for a long while.. thanks for selling it to me:)

Wonder who started the rumor that those barrels aren't accurate?

    Maybe because it’s a 504 and not a 451? :D

dean shoots more than skwirrels though, lol.
To be honest, if it were a .451 it would never have left my place, in fact I think I sold it to buy either a .451 white or my .45 mk85.
