Checked the zero on my Remington 700ml today. It's still holding. The low shot was me, I knew I dipped the rifle when I squeezed the trigger.

100 grains of Pyrodex by volume with a 300 grn Hornady 44 cal xtp and #11 caps. I have too many #11 caps to switch over to a 209 primer just yet.

Got this 45 caliber Lyman Hawken style percussion that I was able to salvage from almost a ruined condition. Wanted to try to use it to hunt antelope this fall in Montana, but I was wondering how much The balls drifted from a clean barrel to a dirty barrel. Now I know, at 50 yards it was 8 inches to the right of the target, the next two shots being about right on. Now that I know this, came home and cleaned it, and popped one cap To dirty up the barrel so that it won't corrode and yet be dirty. Loaded it up, 47 grains 777 2F 128 grain round ball. The outcome might happen this afternoon.
