Cold Blueing

Anyone do their own cold blueing? Any tips or tricks to for getting a good finish?

Clean the part well. Do it somewhere well lit and that you can work without stuff in the way and near a sink big enough for the part. Instructions are pretty straight forward and uncomplicated. I did lots of small parts before i tackled a barrel. I found that when i wanted something darker i just cleaned it again and did a second or third treatment.
