This cranberry wine has been in the making since last fall and I just got it jugged up this morning. The wine is a great tasting wine with a little sharp tart to start it off then followed by a nice sweet. 12-13% makes it a nice dessert type of wine or one for festivities. Very easy drinking that's for sure. Super nice color. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Now the labels....I took the picture of that bear at our cabin years ago. He was a year and a half old. He showed up one day and wasn't the least bit nervous of us being out doing things in the yard and he actually got to be a regular. Ma and I were sitting on the porch step one morning and he came along and climbed the step to the deck and sat down right behind us. Just sat there like we were. Friendlier than heck. He liked to lay on top of our wood shed next to the deck/porch at night and would be there in the morning when we came and out started with the day's stuff we do. I brought the camera out one morning and got a picture of him on the shed roof with his front paws crossed and his chin rested on top of the paws. When I walked to the garage he jumped down and followed me out back. We had a mock orange bush in full bloom that morning and he walked over to it and put his back to the bush and rubbed like crazy...it looked like snow falling off the blooms. When he was done with his scratch he laid down on his back just like the picture shows. I've called it my porno bear ever since I had the pictures copyrighted and registered under my trade mark.
Today the bear graces our wine label and joke wine brand as Bear Naked Wine. There's nothing like reminiscing of times past with a good bottle of home made wine.
