Thats a really good question !!! I dont think its crazy at all whats spinning around "up there" !!! I dont know that series but the super 91 threads on .

There are some Whites that appear to be a one piece barrel and action. Not sure if the Bison is one or not, but I did look at one in the used gun rack at one of the local gun shops that sure appeared to be that way...All of mine are threaded barrels.

I got an email from Doc. He confirms that the Bison is a two piece , barrel threaded to action. That settles that.

All the whites I've seen have got that eighth inch or so recoil blade where the barrel screws into the action. It would be difficult to get that in between the barrel and receiver if they weren't separate pieces.
