There are a few things you can do to ensure that doesn't happen. First is bases. Either a one piece base base with integral rings or a picatinny rail and two separate sets of rings will ensure no movement laterally. Then there is ring lapping/truing. By truing the ring to the scope tube and then lapping the ring halves to ensure full and equal pressure to the scope tube to keep it from slipping in the rings and preventing damage to the scope from uneven pressure points.Question for the guys that own paramounts or other “super magnum” muzzleloaders already: what scope rings are you running? I am concerned that I will run into scope slipping issues with standard ring/mount set ups using full power loads. Did anyone run into issues? Scope is 19 or 20oz for reference.
