I have a similar hunting environment to yours and you might look at bullet placement. My experience is only with.45 caliber in line muzzle loaders but I have used about 6 different bullet combinations. I have had almost 20 deer harvested from neck and spine shots. The furthest one I had to track was 40 yards. Base of the neck doesn’t mess up as much meat if that is a concern.
I will try it out.

If you stay with pellets for your propellant, the Barnes TEZ should be an accurate and lethal combo. 7 years ago when I got into inlines I bought a Traditions Pursuit UL and used two T7 pellets with Barnes T-EZ 250 grain bullet/sabot combo, this setup would shoot 2” groups at 100 yards consistently and never failed me on a deer, in fact, I have seen every deer shot DRT or watched them go down in 40 or less yards. Outstanding performance!
Good luck with whatever you decide, lots of great info here!
