According to DOC White, his Tominator & Thunder shotguns are fully capable of handling a patched ball with the cylinder bore choke tube installed.
With 1.5f or 2ff Swiss black powder, the recoil would be less than with Pyrodex.
Personally, I would have a Kick-eez Magnum recoil pad installed to further mitigate recoil over the standard 1' thick pads.
I don't see why the Knight shotguns shouldn't handle a patched ball as well. As long as you have a cylinder bore choke tube.
They are equally strong, correct?
