That's awesome, I've shot a couple with OO in my pump gun before, if the opportunity comes up again ( state park management hunt ) I may have to experiment with my TK
Were you using the jug choke ? Of did you buy something different from knight ?

I use the jug choked barrel with a extra-full turkey choke. 120 gr. 2f pyrodex, 2 over-powder cards, 1- .5 inch lubed cushion wad, 15-00 buckshot with equal volume buffer, and 1- over shot card.

According to DOC White, his Tominator & Thunder shotguns are fully capable of handling a patched ball with the cylinder bore choke tube installed.

With 1.5f or 2ff Swiss black powder, the recoil would be less than with Pyrodex.

Personally, I would have a Kick-eez Magnum recoil pad installed to further mitigate recoil over the standard 1' thick pads.

I don't see why the Knight shotguns shouldn't handle a patched ball as well. As long as you have a cylinder bore choke tube.

They are equally strong, correct?
