Back when one could purchase Blackhorn Powder, one could use a powder measure made of iron, and not consider the possibility of a spark. These days it may or may not be a concern, It very well may be one needn't be concerned about the possibility of a spark when measuring 777. However, if one is concerned about an iron measure making a spark this Lee Measure is mostly made of aluminum, brass, and plastic.
The measure drops 777 2F powder reasonably accurately, so far, and hasn't blown up yet, Have only dropped about 35 or so charges, so cannot speak of longevity. It does work nicely. Right now it is set so one makes two drops for 81 weighed grain of 777 2F.
