Wow, We lost another ML legend! 😢 I just emailed him last week and ordered some screws from him.

"THE" muzzleloading legend for White Rifles. I am so glad I called him and spoke with him, however short the conversation. I believe he said he was 86? He was very sharp for that age. (I'm comparing him to my mother, who turns 84 Saturday).

A lot of the guys on this forum knew him well, and do a fine job of passing on the knowledge they have. I appreciate all of you.

I never met him personally but have traded emails and spoke quite a bit on the phone about his rifles.

I sent a message to his daughter Sara White Small. Hopefully, she'll respond back. In the meantime here's a picture of me on my first hunt with Doc. I'll treasure that moment even more now that Doc is gone. 😭

Guess we all knew this day would eventually come. I only had contact with him in post in forums. His rifles and shotgun forever changed my view of muzzleloaders.
There won't be another like him!
Thanks Doc!!

I can just picture Doc and Tony Knight discussing and maybe arguing over who had the better design ML or discussing a new and better design.
