Dry fire?

If you want to dry fire anything its best to have something in there so the firing pin isn't over extended. Everyone has a dead primer. Keep one handy to slip in the pocket to dry fire, then remove it to a handy place for next time.
 
Thanks MrTom and deermanok, I'm using a spent 209 primer. Nice 2 lb trigger from the factory.
 
Thanks for the question, I bought one this year too and wondered the same.
 
While it may be ok I wouldn't make a steady diet of it. I would try and place something over the nipple like a spent cap like mentioned before or better yet, some form of thin rubber.
