There is nothing clean about shooting a traditional black powder gun. Its ther nature of the beast so to speak. It was likely dirty after 1 shot. Dont be concerned about the dirt. As stated it cleans up with a little effort.
 
Even shooting BH209, it will be just as black. It just won’t be so heavily crusted.

As stated above, totally normal and no reason for concern. The most important thing to notice is the nice clean edge around that front sealing breech plug.
Looks like it’s making a good tight seal.

Windex and a Qtip will clean it right up. I blow mine out with compressed air after I clean them, just to get the moisture out. Probably not necessary since most breech plugs are stainless and Windex dries fairly quickly, it’s just what I do.

Side note: I only clean my breech plug when I get home from shooting. Others opinions will vary.
