Went to the big(ish) gun and knife show today. Looking for deals and rarities. Hausser1 found a guy with 3 clean MLs. A blue Ruger 77/50 - $400, a .54 Renegade - $400, and a .50 New Englander - $300… all negotiable prices. I was pretty close to buying the 77/50. What a sweet gun. I found a couple nice older scopes instead. There were a couple used Omegas and 700MLs but i didnt think they were worth trying to pick up. On the way home i stopped into a gun store and found 2 brand new z5 Omegas for $409 each. Still have the labels wrappers on them, cool. If im in real need i could go back and haggle to buy both maybe. Also another nicer 700ML for $400 that might be worth a second look and an offer. I only got pics of the 77/50 and two TCs.

I found a beautiful Thompson Center Hawkins at a local gun show that was chiefly breech loaders. The dealer had just taken it in on trade and did not know what he had. It was set up just the way I would have wanted, sling, brass ramrod etc.He seemed to be glad to move it as I got a real good deal and I walked away a very happy camper. You never know what and where you might find if you keep your options open. Last trip around the show and the timing was right. Happy hunting.....

Any of the Omegas worth just parting out?Need an action to finis my sml Omega.
You probably wouldn't even break even. If you kept the action, the barrel is worth 125+/-. The stock is worth 0. I have 15 of them in my shop.
Yeah i would have to get an omega for less than $200 just to break even IF i could sell the barrel. Ive got 3 stocks that im giving away to Swamp if i ever get by his neighborhood. The cheapest i saw at the show was a rusty omega with a garbage scope and the guy wanted $225. I was going to haggle but he seemed firm on his price and i didnt get back there.

Why don’t you list them stocks here, we will help you get rid of them. I for one would like a wood or wood thumb hole if you have any, please pm me.

I've all but given up on gun shows. The last 3 or 4 I've gone to I had to pay an admission fee just to walk around examining firearms way over-priced.
I have a problem with that myself. Woods and Waters weekend is 2 miles from my house. I haven't been in 20 years. I could probably park at a friends house to avoid paying to park. But then being charged to get in. Not interested. I can get anything I want off of the net. But I could justify it buy calling it entertainment. $10.00-$20.00 is cheap entertainment.

Went last weekend and picked up 3 unopened 1 pound cans of Goex Pinnacle for $40 and a CVA Optima Elite stainless 50 cal and 270 Winchester stainless had a great time also over 500 22 bullet for my 22/250 and 300 pieces of 357 brass
