Hello everyone. I’m new here and to muzzleloading and hope to learn a few things. I am not new to firearms though. I just wanted to slow things down a little instead of spraying $250 of lead downrange in an hour at the range. I have my first ml in route or should I say my second one. The first one was sold to me as new but upon inspecting the rifle it had nasty fouling in the barrel and the breech plug was carbonized. It appears someone took the CVA Wolf hunting and then decided to return it after the season was over......without cleaning it. Hopefully the next one is in NEW condition. See photos!

Welcome BBowl10. That Wolf looks like itll clean up probably. New breech plugs are cheap. Even a good aftermarket one. Did you return the used Wolf? Anyway, glad to have you here! 👍

Yes. Thanks. That rifle is on the way back and a new one is on the way here. It probably could have been cleaned up but I don’t know how long it sat dirty or what kind of a load was put in it. Whomever returned it was slick enough to put the tags back on the rifle. I got the first one from Buds Gun Shop......and had to wait almost a month for it to ship. The second one is coming from Sportsman’s Guide.

:welcome: To the group. Don’t be shy with a question, someone here will be glad to help.:lewis:
