Hello everyone. Stumbled on this site and decided to hang around a bit. The photos are of my two current sweethearts, a Dutch Club Butt 20 gauge smoothbore and a TVM Early Virginian .50 cal.IMG_0366.JPG

Welcome to the group, don’t be bashful, join in and enjoy.

Hello from WV. That top rifle has an interesting looking stock. I don't believe that I have ever seen anything quite like it.

WVAED, That smoothie does look a bit different. It's a Dutch Club Butt fowling piece. Jackie Brown made it. Historically it dates from around and before the French & Indian War. Just about everything you might think is true based on appearance is false. It's light. Just under 6 lbs. The balance point is almost exactly at the wrist making it shoulder and swing very easily. It will handle anything from a single round .600" ball to birdshot. I'll see if I can attach some additional photos.

Very cool! I've never seen a stock like that either. Welcome aboard!
