Thank you for the Welcome.

I lied. Though I have in fact "shot" a Rem. 700 Ultimate.
(A recent addition to the rifles I get to shoot).

I have a lot more experience with a * Rem 77/50 all weather.
(* correction: Ruger) 🙂

I'm the youngest of five; Four older brothers and our daddy liked to hunt. Then I married a guy who likes rifles.

I have grown kids, and I teach 8th grade.

Welcome, where was that picture taken? Buetiful scenery. Always had boats growing up, but live in canoe country now.

Welcome. What sort of bullets are you shooting in CA from that “Rem”? 77/50?
Oops. Ruger, sorry. Maybe I shoulda stayed "lurking"...

I'm no expert (obviously) but I'm a pretty good shot.
I know its a .50 cal and uses a Pyrex cilinder black powder thingy, a green sabbot and a cap.

http://www.adoniayachts.com/Laura, I thought I recognized the area. I do the heating and air conditioning on all these houseboats that get sent out there. I’m located 1-1/2 hours away from Lake Powell. Used to be beautiful until the damn Quagga Mussel got setup there. Now it smells horrible, and you gotta wear thongs on the beach to keep your feet from getting cut up.

Oh no, terrible news.
Is that the same as the Zebra Mussel?
We were there some years ago, it was FABULOUS! We rented a houseboat and pulled our 20ft openbow Sea Rey.
So Fun!
I hate hearing that beautiful lake is hurtin... We go to Lake Mojave (down river a ways) every Summer.
