What exactly are your rules for Colorado? No sabots correct?

Depends on whether you are hunting in the Muzzleloader season, or the general rifle season. Also depends on the size of the game you are hunting for caliber.

During Muzzleloader season, for elk and moose, it is .50 cal minimum full bore conical. For deer, bear, sheep, antelope, etc, the minimum is .40 caliber full bore.

This will be easier and more accurate.

If I’m reading that correctly the bor-lock bullets from federal are legal. Also the hornady fpb full bore bullets look legal to me. Both of witch are better than the powerbelts in my opinions. Maybebworth a shot to see how your gum likes them

Man that came out blurry. Let's try it again.

Not much better, if at all?

I suggest that you examine the fired primers and see if they are squeaky clean which will indicate that the primer hot gas is getting through the flame channel/flame hole to ignite the powder charge and NOT blowing back around the primer. Fired primer.

jlynch75, are you using 209 primers? If so, which brand? I have found that my #11 caps don't give me the "crud ring" that everyone talks about. I never knew what that was until I bought a 209 rifle.
That's why they invented those weaker "Muzzleloader" 209s. But they still cook the T7 into a crud ring some.

I'm using RWS #11 never had any problems with them, except finding someone who sells them. I've never found crud rings in my muzzleloader and I do use 777fff. Always, the first thing I do after the range or hunting I clean the gun(s) that I used, even if I didn't shoot them.
