Can anyone identify this projectile? It is a R.E.A.L. bullet with only a top driving band. .50 cal. Top band mikes .504. It is encased in a very thin sabot-like plastic case, but the top driving band is larger that the "sabot". I think these would meet CO regs. Total weight is 350 grains. I'm down to my last 11, and so much time has passed I do not remember who made them. From a sitting position I can shoot 4" groups with open sights out of my Pedersoli Brutus. I really like R.E.A.L. bullets because you get a clean .50 cal. hole in and out, and blood trails even I can follow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The tip sure looks like a Maxi-Ball. Never seen one in a sabot though.

Odd sabot, Never seen one that was not cut so as to release the bullet. Seen some Wads for shotguns that were not cut. Could those be slugs for a shotgun?

Sabots are illegal in. Colorado. Must be full conical or PRB.

Kinda look like something Hastings slug co guys had 15-20 years ago.
