Good afternoon!

Recently, when I picked up my new CVA Accura MR-X, I decided to grab some Anti Seize stick for my Breech plug marketed by CVA as well. I am wondering if what I have is bad.

It is really flakey and doesn't coat the threads well. I am used to the knight breech plug grease, and that consistency. But this Stick is almost "powdery" if that makes sense. I am just curious if I bought an old stick that has dried out, or is it really like that. Just so different than what I have used in the past. If that is normal, how do I "coat" the threads if it just falls off?

Thank you!

I bought some anti sieze from an auto store about 40 years ago for some manifold bolts. It is a lifetime supply. I keep a tiny jar of it in my muzzleloading tool box and apply it with a toothpick. It is a little messy, but the breechplug on my .50 only comes out every year or two, and it has never been a problem getting it out.
