There is an MK-85 for sale with a barrel insert for 22lr. Seems to be manufactured by Knight. Anyone ever used or seen one? I didn't they existed.

Wish I knew how they worked. Hard to tell if all the parts are there with no knowledge on my part.

Have you got a picture? It's been 30 years since I've seen one, but IIRC it had a barrel insert that screwed in, in place of the breech plug. That's about all I can remember.

Its listed on Gunbroker.com if anyone is intrested. The last thing I need to do right now us buy another MK-85.

I’ve got one. It screws into the breech and has a plastic bushing that centers the barrel in the MZ barrel. Also come with a tool to insert and remove the bullet/ casing. Has a different plunger to strike the rim of the bullet.
