Yep it was mine. I sold it to fund my Encore build. It shot great with 460 no excuse conicals. I don’t remember the exact round count I fired but it’s for sure under 100. Always thought of it ever popped back up I would buy it back but it’s terrible timing.

I'm not a Knight guy so I have to ask, will it shoot sabots sub moa like .40 cal 200gr SST's in the MMP sabots or the PRB Dead Center .40 cal. 225gr & 260gr bullets/sabots out to 300yds. I know it will shoot Parker & Fury bullets very well. But I want a fairly lightweight 300ys Sabot/BH209 shooter to hunt from a self climber stand. That barrel length is 27" right??? Has the BP been changed to use bare 209 primers? Whats it weigh?

That is a bare primer bolt and plug in the pics. Mountaineer barrels are 27".

A 1-20 twist can shoot sabots fine and it will stabilize longer 40cals in sabots. You would likely want to use the Harvester sabot instead of the MMP tan.

I use the MMP Tan in mine and they shoot great! Even though it is not listed that way on the MMP site, the tan sabot was changed to the HPH polymer several years ago. But then again I do hunt in cooler temps than a lot of other people.

The accuracy of the Mountaineer and/or Ulite far exceed my ability to shoot but they are really good for me.

I do shoot a Lehigh sabotless .458x260CF from my fast twist 45's.

This is a test target shot by a fellow forum member.

My hunting load was 80 grains bh209, wool wad, and the 460 no excuse. The wad turned out to be very important. It key holed them without but with the wad cloverleaf!

can’t believe this Is still for sale! I’ve been so tempted to shoot you a pm and buy it back!
