I have an original Disc rifle that I converted to take the red FPJ 15+ years ago, and now I’ve taken the advice given in this thread and placed my order for the Lehigh breech plug and bolt adapter. I also have some large rifle primer adapters on the way.
Is it going to be safe to use Blackhorn in this rifle?
With the Lehigh adapter and breech plug you are in great shape to shoot BH, up 120 gr. by volume. I would suggest to you to use a Winchester W209 shot gun primer. Mag primers are not necessary.
Might also look at this thread about shimming the primer pocket. With the W209 it might not be nesessay.
