Wont let me edit this mornin .
I dont know what that "ring" tool is called . Saw one made fron a tubing cutter but it looked hard to use to me . They had put a washer in place of the cutting wheel . I really didnt like it how it was done . I got a handle to make bullet rotate on my knurler but on it was nothing to spin bullet . I dunno......
Tizz alright bud, I've heard about the pipe cutter mod., I can clearly see the redneck ingenuity there & depending how its mod'ed could work or be a laughable failure. But from how my mind works - both are a learning experience. It's always great chattin it up with ya Sideshow. Kind regards

Knurling? I'm just using 2 files. A tool would be nice but I can't figure a way to hold the bullet. A simple motor driven unit with knurler wheels holding the bullet would work but difficult to gauge degree of knurling. I'm going from .451 to .4525 and just guessing then measuring as I go. Copper plated SST 300gr Remington 250gr Accutip. A few others also.IMG_20200314_093230377.jpgIMG_20200314_093230377.jpg

Files have always worked for me and as a bonus they create lube holders with cast !
Me too. I had thought about buying the tool in the vid, but haven't yet because im just knurling lead for now. If/when i do coppers i will see if i can do them with just the files. If not I'll invest in the tool. Like Sideshow said, look out for bits of the file or the tool stuck in the bullets. Ive only found one tiny piece but that stuff could cause a real nightmare in a barrel.
