Our Friday shoot for me was a great day ,thanks to Idaho Lewis and his tutorial on compression casting ,46 yrs and I never knew about this technique but after today's Friday shoot ,I shot my 1-18 twist Renegade Bob Hoyt relined barrel with a Baco .443/530 grain BHN 10.4 PP bullet 80 grns of OE 2F . I moved from the 400 yd gong (HAMMERED) to 700 yd target @ 120 points on my Lee Shaver long range venier with 2 windage corrections (LOTS of wind) i got a 13 inch group 6 shots and the guy taking photos (Never shot a side lock)hit the bull @9:00! You can not imagine how neat when the guy on the scope explains how much he liked seeing the target 5 seconds after the boom,he watched the 45 cal hole appear ! Sun and fun with lots of trigger time at our private long range /Retirement is good /EdIMG_0435[1].JPG

That is AWESOME My Friend!! Your Bullets looked REALLY GOOD, And it sounds like they Performed Very Well for ya :lewis:

I wish i lived closer, i would REALLY Enjoy shooting with you Guy’s!!

1.857 M.O.A. at 700 yards on your first try at compression casting a 530 grain bullet is pretty darn fine shooting. With a vernier iron sight. And only an 80 grain black powder charge.

High BC, heavy bullets simply do not require stupid heavy powder charges for long distance shooting. Especially 45 caliber, and .40 caliber bullets.

We cancelled tomorrows shoot cause of rain but it gives me more time to learn about this compression casting ,again (thanks to Idaholewis) ! Next week I will have more perfect (HA) bullets cast , here"s a few more photos from last week have video but guy taking it did not explain editing so that will wait til next time /Ed
