I've been lurking this forum for a couple of years now, I'm kinda surprised I haven't posted before now. But then again, with the depth of knowledge in this forum, I don't have much to offer.

Thanks for this site, there is a lot of great information.

I've been shooting black powder for a few years now. I've been shooting a Knight MK85. I shoot the 209 primer adapter with it, usually 2 pellets of Triple 7 and a 240gr HP.

My wife surprised me with an early Christmas, UPS should deliver a new CVA Optima V2 Nitride this week. I'm planning to sight it in and experiment with some BH209 loads. I'm starting with Barnes 250gr TMZs and CCI magnum primers. I'll see what load the gun seems to like best. I also plan to try some SSTs depending on how much the gun likes the TMZs. I'm looking forward to spending more time shooting this rifle and fine tuning the loads, something I wasn't able to do with the MK85.
