Looking for a rod

I am very new to fishing and got instantly hooked (pun intended) when I went fishing with my dad we leased 2 rods and had lots of fun. The issue I have is that I have no clue what sort of rod to get, I am interested in fishing for sturgeon or whitefish (literal translation from Dutch don't know if its correct). Anyways, does anybody have a few suggestions or tips?

sturgeon are heavy fish so id suggest a heavy rod i use a cono-flex for my heavy rods theyre great rods for the money
