MAP

Been out of the muzzleloader game for awhile. Do any of you old time DWB's use MAP to clean any more? Was it 2 parts Murphy's one part isopropyl alcohol one part peroxide? Thanks

Only powder I use in my whites is triple 7. I use a citrus household cleaner to clean the bore/plug.
Your formula for MAP sounds right to me. If not I'm sure we will hear it!

Found an old thread on hunting.net. According to Dave aka Cayuga (RIP) the MAP formula is 1 part Murphy's 2 parts alcohol and 2 parts peroxide.

I use It all the time it's one of the best in my opinion

Alcohol is also good to use to swab bores between shots at the range. It dries real quick

well i mixed up a batch, and heck yea worked like a charm. Stuff froths up and the powder residue falls off. I put it in a spray bottle, sprayed it liberally everywhere..bore brushed, jag with patches, air hose, rag, then kroil oil..looked like new.. a big thank you to all..

I love Super Safaris, except for cleaning. Powder residue gets everywhere. Under the endcap, under the thimbles. For extended storage, it will have to be completely disassembled. You may already be doing it that way.
