Took my Tenkara rod for a little hike in the mountains today. I landed approximately 180 inches of trout. 30 fish average 6 inches 30x6= 180😂. Does anyone else use a Tenkara rod? Neat way to fish small streams.

Beautiful scenery!!!

What’s your favorite method to cook those trout?

That particular rod is 12 foot. I also have a 10 footer. The stream that I was fishing today has a 14 inch minimum length to keep. I have only ever caught one keeper in all the times I've fished it. Numerous 10-12 inchers but that 14" minimum is pretty tough.

Awesome fish and stream pics. Love fishing Tenkara, in fact I fish it more than I do my regular fly rods. Works great on our streams in NJ and PA. Where are you located?

I outfish my friends with spinning rods, sometimes even in lakes since cutthroat trout hang near the banks. They can't be beat for ultra light backpacing. My 10' rod weighs 4 oz. The simplicity of it appeals to me. I'm neaded to Colorado nest week to try again.
