Congrats!

That bullet pic doesn't look like any Barnes solid copper that I have seen. Are you sure of the pic?
100% positive. It looks shiny because of the flash? The range was approx. 140 yds as stated earlier. Rem uml 100 wgr BH209. Broke one shoulder through the heart and shattering the offside leg. Bullet was under the hide. 237 gr retained weight. The bullet that is tarnished was recovered from a buck that was shot head on at approx. 100 yds. and was recovered on the inside of the rear leg. That was fired from a ruger 77/50 with 70 wg of BH209. It has a retained weight of 246 gr. In fifteen or so years these are the only two barnes bullets that I have recovered. One is a barnes TEZ the other is a Remington branded bullet with a green tip that I was told was made by barnes with a different sabot(green of course) for the UML.

Congrats on the very nice deer. I also have never seen a Barnes bullet look like that one did. I've recovered a few shotgun slugs, and ML bullets by Barnes and all look just like the picture on the box.
