My first sturgeon on a float tube

Ever hear the term "Nantucket boat ride"? I have a feeling that is what you probably experienced.
EDIT: I meant to say "Nantucket sleigh ride". It's when whalers referred to the ride they would have after spearing the sperm whale and it would haul you know what with them in tow.

Protected in n.y. also, but the guys get a few while bullhead fishing. The fish are so tired when they get them off the hook that they have to hold them and pull them back in forth in the water to resuscitate them or they would drowned.

We have a season here in MI. Federal fish an wild life survey crew netted one in the Detroit River that was almost 8 ft 198 lbs. That would be a Great Lakes sturgeon.
