I hvae purchased a T/c renegade as a donor rifle with the intent of getting a fast twist barrel for paperpatching. I have a knight disc elite that I use with scope and sabot for muzzleloader hunting in nebraska. I just saw that a knight mountaineer barrel will fit the disc elite stock. So now I have a decision to make.

#1 Get the fast twist barrel for the t/x renegade(.50 or .45)

or

#2 Get a knight mountaineer fast twist .45 barrel for the disc rifle.

I am thinking that the knight would be safer at higher pressure than the sidelock renegade. Anyone willing to offer their experience with either setup for full bore lead/ paperpatched bullets?

Thanks

If you can get your hands o a Green Mountain LRH barrel for the Renegade then thats what I would suggest. I dont paperpatch but i do have Knights and Renegades. I cant see high pressure being an issue on either gun unless you do something wrong. I love them Renegades.
