Have you asked the builder what bullet/load he had his best groups with?
No, I only know the guy that had the gun built fired around 10 - 420gr NE’s out of it before he traded it. I have some 420gr NE’s here & I’ve shot some of them, but with the sights that were on the gun were adj all the way up & it shot completely under my target at 50yds with 60 & 65gr 2F Goex & with 70 & 75gr it still was 8-10” low at 50yds. I don’t want any hotter of a charge but I’ll try them again with the new sight set up & see how they do.

Thanks Harleyboss.
Since this is the first .50 like this I've ever had, & the only conicals I've ever messed with ( many many moons ago ) were Maxi Balls & Maxi Hunters. This is a long way from that. I found out some info about this gun last night. Its a 28 3/4" barrel, not 34" & the twist is 1:24 ( the perfect modern .50 twist IMHO ) not a 1:28". So, thats just awesome. I will let this gun tell me what it likes through testing. I'd love to find that " perfect Conical " for it, but I will be trying out numerous sabot combos as well, I've already got some 300gr & 400gr Spire point cast conicals in .452 in mind to order in the very near future & Paper Patching has been interesting to me for a long time & something I really want to try for myself. Heres the perfect platform to do just that. Thanks for pointing them out.
conical will out shoot sabots since you have a 24 twist
Furys will work good

Ya know i am going to try some comparing groups. I may have to drop my load from 75 gr X Volume to 70 gr of the 2 f Trip 7 so my prb's don't get knocked out the 1st go around. Have the rb's, REAL 320, sabots with .451 230 gr XTP's, sabots .451 250 gr Fury

What size bullets are you going to shoot?
Theres a pic of the bullets I'm going to test to see what the gun likes. I got some 420gr no Excuse conicals, some 330 & 350gr, 460gr & 515gr all pure lead case conicals. All but the N/E's are for big bore air rifles that I had sized to fit my bore. As to lube for them, am going to use the 3 part mix of BLL on them instead of a traditional type of lube. T7ff will be the powder.

Can you just file some on the front sight? That should marginally raise your groups. Just go slow as it’s much harder to put back than take off.
What’s that ole saying, “Darn, I’ve cut it off three times and it’s still too short!”

Yes, I guess I could have filed down the front blade sight. I'm a metal fabricator by trade, so I did get a kick out of that saying you have there.
I fixed the prob by putting the Lee Shaver's Soule & the P&H front globe on it.
