I'm not new to muzzleloading but I am new to serious muzzleloading. I'm 55 years old and built a CVA .45 cal Kentucky rifle kit gun when I was 21. I hunted with it a few times but never got a deer. Then I got bit by the bowhunting bug and my hunting life has revolved around that ever since. Going as far as bowhunting for grizzly in the Brooks Range.
I bought a T/C Omega about 10 years ago and took a couple of deer with that. In December I picked up a NIB Savage 10ML-II, mounted a 3.5x10 Leupold VX3i on it and just got it sighted in. I killed a nice 10 pt buck with my Omega earlier this month and followed it up by taking a big doe with my Kentucky rifle and a patched round ball over 70 gr of FFFG. Finally after 34 years! I'll be hunting tomorrow afternoon with the Savage.
Here's a picture of my muzzleloader buck from this year.

Welcome from South Dakota. Grew up in Scotch Plains, though. Nice harvest!
