Not to mention the scope is bassackwards....
I have a friend that wanted me to help him sight in a rifle for his son, he came along to the range. Scope was mounted like this by him.....I don't remember, but pretty sure it wasn't bolt action, probably a good thing!
 
I have a Savage rifle with the same design and I think that the idea is good.
There's no way to to mount bases on the rear portion of the receiver of this rifle. Yes the scope might be on the rings backwards but everyone makes mistakes now and then. I might just try to imitate the design on my rifle.
 
Okay... everyone that looks at a scope mounted to a bolt and thinks that that should work just fine needs their head examined...and some gunsmithing training. Holy crap...
