I think I have the muzzy bug. Wanted to share my 50cal Knight Mountaineer in Nitrate.
I love the Nitrate finish!
Sabotloader helped me a bunch answering questions.
Setup for Oregon with Williams peep and Williams fiber sight and Globe.
460Ne, 70g T7, .54cal ox yoke wad, rws1075 cap put 2 at 1.25" at 100 yards with peep sights. Going to try some Bullshop 460s too
Thanks for looking.

That's purdy. I like the nitride finish with the gray stock. Glad to see it shoots just as well.

Sweet rifle, my mountaineer shoots no excuse 420s with an oversized wad with 90 grains T7 like a dream! Another combo to try!

Bob, Which size front sight did you end up using?

Another bullet you might look at as suggested above is the Bull Shop 400 LGP lead conical.

That group was shot with the .343 front, I have since put on a .25 to see if I can get some more distance as the rear peep was bottomed out. I haven't shot it yet. I also have a .312 in case .25 is too much. I am down to try the bullshop 400 for sure, if that helps with some drop.
I also have thought about trying some Olde E 2F powder in replacement of T7 with the 1075 caps.

I would be game to try some Bullshop 400's. I also am thinking baout trying some Olde E 2F instead of T7 with these 1075's.

I am not a big BP user so I really can not comment about Old Eynsford BP - but I think you might be giving up velocity to switch to that from T7 - Swiss BP would be really close to T7 pressures.

The 1075 cap is probably the best cap on the market!

You've never had ignition issues with t7 and caps?
