Ive shot 5 deer with the GTs, all recovered. As stated 3 DRT, 1 went 40 yards, 1 went 100 yards. I personally use the 305 grain .430. 100g(w) T7, Probably 1500-1600 fps. I cant argue with success. But 5 deer is a small sample.

I shot the coyote and the small buck this year with the same gun and bullet. The boat tail bullet in the yellow sabot from no excuses. Out of a cva optima v2 .50 pushed with either 110 or 105 gr volume of blackthorn. They shoot good out of this gun and they kill also.
What grain bullet did you use?

i believe they were the 300 grain bullet. I will look when I get home later. I know out of that gun I usually shoot 250-300 grain bullets, seems to work best. But I will check and report back.

I posted a while ago on the No Excuses bullets. The below photos show my testing, hunt, and what worked for my ML. The deer was taken at 65 yds with a complete pass through and he dropped in 10 ft.

I’ve used these in the past with good results using 777. I was told pure lead and sml don’t get along well.
