Good job Jeff.

Just as an FYI - George Gibbs in the 1860’s hosted 2 matches at 2000yds. These were 50cal, 700gr over 150gr BP.

Also, our Percussion ML have around 140moa at 1000. Your 71moa will have a max height of just over 500” (42’) occurring at 1100yds - ironically this is almost identical height as our 530gr @ 1300fps loads.

Keep up the good work.

Id be curious to what kind of accuracy was achieved at 2000 yds with 50 cal.

My one mile shoot was 71 moa
1308" drop almost 110'

They shot at a 6’x12’ square plate, I believe.
Best they could do was hitting it 9 or so times out of 15 shot match. Body support only.

I believe your bullet drop of 110’ would be with a 100yds Zero.

If you have a 1000 yd zero, max height would be around 42’.

Regardless- it’s a long way..
Good job.

I've shot in quite a few 15 **** matches.

I have a 100 yd zero and target size was 18" round target basically moa at 1760 yds

yes agree and if you study your drop chart will discover your trajectory was only 48.1 ft or there about above . 110 ft. is drop

Guess I need more schooling.

Bullet drops 1.9" from muzzle to my 100 yd zero then drops 1,308 to impact on target so total drop from muzzle to target 1,309.9"
109.19'

Jeff I think what they're suggesting is the total height of your bullet above LOS if you were actually using 1760yds as your actual zero.

ain't any body trying to degrade your dope , ill show you when i get the chance.

I totally understand the difference between trajectory and bullet drop.
Thanks

Amazing feat Jeff ! Some ( like myself ) just talk about things . You actually go out and get it done . Very informational video I look forward to seeing hits at one mile on a video . To bad the weather sucked . Although the weather made your accomplishments even more impressive !!!

Good Stuff Jeff! I enjoyed your Video. It is AMAZING What these Smokeless Rigs will do, This SML of yours is SPANKING My .308 Win Centerfire BADLY! “Woody” is a SERIOUS Rig!! :lewis:

I have shot lot’s n lots of Paper Patch Since my Beginning in Muzzleloading, But That Chase Patch is a Method i have never tried. I always felt that Chase Patch would be good for Bench/Target, i have spoken so years back, Just never got around to trying it

I just went back and Listened to Smokeless Velocity, at 3,220 FPS with a 325 Grain Bullet This Smokeless Muzzleloader is CRUSHING a .338 Lapua Magnum with a 300 Grain Bullet. My little .308 wasn’t even a good mention :)

With the numbers you give (Bullet BC, Velocity) i can see how 1 Mile would be NO PROBLEM with “Woody” What a BEAST of a Rig!!
