For years one of our deer camp treats was venison liver, that is until one day I went to cut a liver up for frying. I put the knife to it and liver flukes poured out. That was the end of eating venison liver.

What a great way to lose weight! I caught a nice 17" trout on a backpacking trip several years ago, and when I skinned it, I found a bunch of worms. I cooked it, but in the end I didn't eat it.

I’ve never found any worms in my meat, but I’m pretty sure all wild game probably have some sort of “parasite”. It hasn’t stopped me from eating it so far, and I don’t intend to stop now. I’d bet that 360* grease in my fryer will kill anything that might be still alive going in.

I don’t mind it if you can’t see them.
