Hi all, in the attached picture you can see at right two 485gn pure lead GG bullets for my Pedersoli Tryon Creedmoor 1:21 rifling, would be possible to use a 525gn 16:1 PP bullet?
I'm using the PP bullet with my BPCR Pedersoli Sharps, it is a bore riding bullet, so I decided to use it on the Tryon to verify if I can get the same good accuracy as the Sharps.

Should be no problem, I’ve seen many Ped Tyron’s shot at Friendship (NMLRA) over the years to 500yds.

Thank you very much for your reply, I'll try to shoot the PP 525gn bullet with my Ped Tryon, I'll let you know what happens.

Today I have shot these my PP 525gn 16:1 bullets and 70gn of spanish bp nr.2. The result was quite good at 100m, but the I had problems wiping the bore because the PP bullets are very delicate and sensitive when you load them in the barrel. If the barrel is not perfectly clean the paper will break and the accuracy is lost. Anyway 4 shots were grouping at about 4.5 x 0.5cm as you can see in the picture. Next time more attention to wiping the bore using 2 wet patches (ballistol+water), followed by 2 dry patches.

What brands of BP can you get there? Are there any black powder substitutes available?

Our first choice is the Swiss powder, then the french powder (Vectan), the spanish powder and the german powder (Wano). The black powder substitutes are available, like the Triple Seven and the Pyrodex, but I don't like them and their use in the matches is forbidden.
