I was up to the range this morning with the pistol. I wanted to try out the Old Ensyford 3f powder that I just got. 30 grains, .490 round ball and a .18 dry pillow ticking patch that I spit lubed.
Range 25 yards. Shot 1 hit the paper very low right.
By the time I reloaded, a young man and his elderly father showed up. The old gentleman just loved the pistol. As he watched, I took careful aim and fired.
I hit dead center bullseye and the old man was grinning ear to ear. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. I reloaded, took another shot, I hit just a bit to the right of center. I tell ya, that guy thought I was Daniel Boone. Must have been a fluke, best shooting I have done with that pistol. Well, I put the gun away quick. Switched to the deerhunter rifle for a while. Shot really good with that too. It was a truly great day, good shooting and made an old man smile.

Made his day...good on ya! Happy the shooting was good for you too.
