Just curious as to how many guys use a red dot on their muzzy?

We are restricted to 1x here, but a red dot is legal as long as it’s a 1x.

I did order a sig 1x 2moa red dot to play with on a 22 just to see if I like it or not.

Utah used to have that same restriction, and we may be going back to that next year. I had an Aimpoint 2 moa red dot on mine and much preferred that to any of the 1x scopes I had tried. Most of the 1x scopes make your target look smaller than the actual eye perceives.

Not so with the Aimpoint, and with a 2 moa dot you have a pretty good size dot for longer shots too. I used mine to great affect out past 200 yards on game just fine and out to 300 yards on steel with no issues. Where you will struggle is in dark timber areas and low light, where your naked eye struggles to see the animal outline. Then you will really miss the optics and the ability to pull in that image. Bull was at 209 yards.
