Don't forget to back up all of your last years photographs and video.

Learned that lesson myself when I lost a ton of photos and videos. Thumb drives are relatively cheap for a 128G USB drive. They also have them that will save the photos from your phone.

Ive got backups of backups. Ever heard of network attached storage (NAS)? Critical stuff gets copied to thumb drives monthly and stored in a safety deposit box. My NAS boxes run RAID 1 (mirrored) so there is always another copy. You can get them at a pretty good price and plug them into your network. Then use automated backup software like Nero BackItUp to maintain a constant backup of files.
