Renegade lock plate screw bushing

In my search of T/C Renegades i came across one with an odd looking lock plate screw bushing, almost rectangular from the picture. Its an early version .54. Kind of looks reset or inlayed. Did T/C ever make such a design? I have looked over parts diagrams online and I do not see one of this style. I am led to suspect it is a fix.

Even the early Renegades came with the round steel washer.
