While I still believe breechloaders are a passing fad... my Savage Model 6A is a fine FINE rifle.
I got the proper factory aperture sight. Simple but nice and my groups are much more consistent.
With CCI standard velocity long rifles, she's a 3/8 - 1/2 inch grouper for 3 at 25. I did shoot 3 into 3/16ths ' tuther day... 10 shots are in the 5/8 - 3/4 inch range. Shes reliable, accurate and severely cool. For a breechloader.
My old ( pre WW2 Utica N.Y.) girl is gonna be hard on woodchucks, squirrel and such.
