Watching a video on YouTube, 45 Colt gallery loads. Using 15 grain fffg and a 454 round ball out of a Walker(?) He was getting a little over 180 fpe.

So what the heck, finally found some 2 1/2 inch .410 hulls. Loaded 15 grain Scheutzen 3f, nitro card, cornmeal to take up space, .395 round ball, half a nitro card to hold in place on top. Should be interesting at the range!

The tools I use to load .410 shells are in the pic, pretty basic.

I forgot to add, I shoot a improved modified single shot, .395 round balls roll through no problem.

Finally got a couple across the chrony, 95 to 105 fpe with this configuration.

interesting...awaiting your results. I have 2 single shot .410s myself. Like you said, just something to do.
