I just saw this thing and its intriguing. Wish i had the $ to risk on it. It would be great to be able to copy a stock thats broken or no longer available. Or make a laminate stock from a blank.

That is an interesting question. Especially for me, where I not only have to factor in the cost of the machine, but also the costs of undoubtedly numerous trips to the ER.

My brother in law has a stock duplicator, he says it's a pain in the A55 to set up, but once that's done it works great. Don't remember what brand it is, but he's made a lot of stocks with it.

Think of all the money that you'd save from having to buy Boyd stocks to upgrade from factory polymer on modern rifles.

I assume it can follow the contours of a synthetic stock. With some good wood looks like a money making business to me. I'm sure a lot of people would love to pick out their own type of wood and stain.
