My son was successful again this year. Not a monster but it fills the freezer. Thats why we hunt.
Congrats! That’s great eating right there
Fantastic!! Tell your son Great Job for us.
Congrats, nice table trophy.
Thank you all for the comments!
My son loves everything archery and loves to hunt deer. Unfortunately our state only allows one deer a year and a 9 day hunt. It makes it tough for an archer to take a deer let alone a mature buck. I wasn't raised a trophy hunter, it was always a bonus, more meat and something to help remember the times spent with family. Whenever I asked my dad to shoot a bigger buck he would always say: "you can't eat the horns, boy!"
Good for him! I’m a deer hunter, I’m happy with any of them.
Who eats the horns anyway? Good job!
I agree. Be it tenderloins, bottled, sauteed with mushrooms or made into stew it's still better than tag soup. Much better for you too.
Way to go. Archery is a whole different animal.
Very nice! Any animal with archery tackle is a trophy.
That's actually a cool looking deer anyways!
Nice. That terrain looks pretty open so any deer with a bow is a trophy.
