Scored one today, in the nick of time, as rust was just starting in the bore. Got her for $400. The stock had minor dings, typical of a rifle of her age. The lock sparks well thanks to a Lyman frizzen, but the trigger is a tad heavy. She's also got the only properly located vent I've ever seen on a factory TC barrel! Yay!
I LIKE the look of the 1/2 round/ octagonal barrel. Her balance is very agreeable, and sight/ target acquisition is very quick. The rifling is DEEP and the twist 1-66. The previous owner reworked the crown to ease loading. Looks properly done.
Dont see too many of these around here. Funny not seeing Pennsylvania Hunters in PENNSYLVANIA... Usually when found they've been rode hard and put away wet.
Gonna shoot her tomorrow. Hope she likes 70 grains of 3f Swiss...

Those are my favorite TC model, Stock does not have as much drop as I like but loved the weight and balance. Copied the barrel contour for my target rifle.
