Tennessee (Chilhowee R&G) held their Spring match today. Great weather, although it got warm & muggy quick.
With Graduations in the area, many regulars couldn’t attend.. But, those that did had a great time shooting, eating lunch and talking ML.
This match seemed to be like last weeks Friendship match - close. 2 shooters cleaned the paper. From the results the Chicken was the tough one again..
I was thrilled to see that a tie and 5 shooters were within 2 points..
Justin & I enjoyed our victory together, not only for the sportsmanship, but because were shooting the same 45 Mountaineer with 2 completely opposite spectrum of loads.
Justin: 90/64.5gr weighed BH209, Cutting Edge 240gr Raptor - MV:1950.
Rick: I tried something new - subsonic all the way.. 48/34gr weighed BH209, 530gr pure lead grease groove HP. MV:1100.
Thanks to John Mankin for hosting this match and feeding everyone - John shot well too.
Special thanks to Doug, Scott & Jeremy for traveling many hours to shoot & support the match, they too shot well.
Lots of fun and camaraderie with old and new friends- see all of you in a few weeks at Friendship.
